Salim Nourallah & the Travoltas were one of 21 bands who played the Lakewoodstock Neighborhood Festival Sunday, May 20. Joining the band on keys? The one and only Paul Slavens, host of The Paul Slavens show, Sunday evenings on KXT 91.7. Thousands of people braved the heat to listen to bands and walk among the many vendors and artists camped out under tents inside the Lakewood Village Shopping Center parking lots. Bands playing the event included Salim Nourallah & the Travoltas, Colin Boyd and Hunter Hendrickson. Be sure to stop by KXT’s Live Sessions page to see performances of all three inside the KXT studios!

Our very own Sunday night music guru Paul Slavens is featured in this amazing mini-documentary by Brown TV. Catch Paul’s eclectic show every Sunday evening from 8-10pm at 91.7 or kxt.org. Enjoy!
Prepare to have your mind blown by some old school Deep Ellum news coverage about the music scene in 1988 via Fox 4. Look for Paul Slavens (with hair!), Jeff Liles working a baby face, Edie Brickell in her early heyday, Reverend Horton Heat and more. Thank you to our own Sunday evening host Paul Slavens for loading this outstanding gem into youtube.
KXT’s Paul Slavens chats with RTB2 during 35 Denton. Superb interview. More on the 35 Denton site. Thanks to everyone who came to the KXT Showcase on Friday night! Good times.
